This is my personal website. I don't sell your information, run ads, or use analytics or tracking tools here.
What I collect
The only personal information this site collects is what you type into a form:
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message.
- Speaking inquiry form: your name, email address, organization, event details and message.
- Merit badge request form: the Scout's name and contact details, a parent's name and contact details, the unit, the badges requested and any note you add.
Please don't send sensitive information through these forms.
When you submit a form, I also store your IP address to help deal with spam and abuse.
How I use it
I use it to reply to you and follow up on your request. It goes to my own database, my email and my task list. I don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it, or unless you ask me to pass something along.
Services this site relies on
- Cloudflare delivers this site and runs Turnstile, the spam check on the forms. Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to do that.
- Bluehost hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.
- Google (Gmail) and Todoist hold the copies of form messages I use to respond.
Links to social networks and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Your browser
The site remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser. That setting stays on your device.
Children
This site is meant for adults. The merit badge form collects information about Scouts so I can respond to a counseling request, and it asks for a parent's contact details. A parent or guardian can ask me to change or delete that information at any time.

To see, correct or delete what you've sent me, use the contact form and I'll take care of it.
